Trezeguet eager to return to France

Former Juventus striker David Trezeguet has expressed his desire to return to France after spending last 11 years abroad.

The veteran striker has been a free agent since his contract with Hercules expired this summer and is now looking for a new club.

Despite interest from England, Italy and Spain, the 33-year-old believes it is high time he returned home.

“I have discussed my situation with my family. The conclusion is that it may be the time for me to return,” Trezeguet told L’Equipe.

“Today, I want to return to France.”

Paris Saint-Germain, Marseille, Lyon and Bordeaux are the clubs that could offer him a final lucrative contract, but the player says he will choose the club based on sporting challenge.

“I am looking for a team that offer a great sporting challenge and I am prepared to make sacrifices.

”What is important is to find a club that really matters to me,” Trezeguet concluded.
