The Metro understands that Atletico Madrid are close to agreeing a deal for England international Kieran Trippier.
The full-back is heading for a medical with the La Liga outfit, who have agreed a fee in the region of £25m with the North Londoners.
The twenty-eight-year-old has been linked with a move away from Spurs since the end of last season, with Bayern Munich, Napoli, Juventus and Manchester United also interested.
Since signing from Burnley in the summer of 2015, Trippier has racked up one hundred and fourteen appearances in all competitions, scoring twice – the second of those strikes coming in a 3-1 win over Fulham last August.
He has been capped after sixteen times by his country, with his only international goal famously coming in the 2-1 defeat to Croatia in the semi-finals of last summer’s World Cup finals in Russia.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side begin the season with the visit of Aston Villa, and the home win is priced at 1/4.
