Trippier set for new Spurs deal

Tottenham Hotspur are set to offer a new contract to Kieran Trippier, according to the Mirror.

The former Burnley man has three years remaining on his current deal, but Spurs are keen to secure his services long term with fellow full-back Kyle Walker likely to leave the North London club this summer.

Trippier became Spurs’ first choice right sided defender towards the end of last season, starting three of their last five league matches as they finished the season as runners-up to champions Chelsea.

In total, the twenty-six year old has racked up forty-one appearances in all competitions for Mauricio Pochettino’s side with his one and only goal for the club so far coming in a 1-0 win over Watford last February.

He made his senior England debut earlier this month as Gareth Southgate’s side lost 3-2 to France in a friendly at Wembley – Tottenham’s home stadium for the forthcoming season.
