According to a recent report from Mundo Deportivo, Kieran Trippier is set to stay at Atletico Madrid as they don’t want to sell him – and he doesn’t want to leave.
That would scupper the hopes of Manchester United who seemed intent on bringing him back over to the Premier League where he was able to thrive with Tottenham Hotspur.
Trippier has been included in the England squad for this summer’s European Championship and while some continue to question his abilities, others feel as if he has the potential to really establish himself as one of the best in the world in his position.
Alas, Atletico appear to be going from strength to strength, and Trippier quite clearly wants to be a big part of that operation – and who can blame him?
United are an uncertainty right now and while they may pay him handsomely, Trippier will want to be valued.
