According to Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg, Thomas Tuchel is very much interested in the idea of Manchester United as his next club after his spell with Bayern Munich ends in the summer. And as things stand at the moment, United will reportedly wait until the end of the season to make a decision on the future of Erik ten Hag, so a vacancy at Old Trafford in the summer isn’t impossible.
Tuchel is also believed to be on the list of Barcelona, who are looking to replace Xavi Hernandez, but United is apparently more appealing to the German tactician as he feels he has unfinished business in the Premier League, after leading Chelsea to Champions League glory in 2021. The 50-year-old succeeded Jurgen Klopp at Borussia Dortmund in 2015, but there is little chance of that happening this year at Liverpool, despite Klopp leaving Anfield.
Tuchel took charge at Bayern in March last year, but despite his best efforts, the Bavarians now look to be on course for a season without trophies, a deeply distressing prospect at the Allianz Arena.
🚨News #Tuchel: He is definitely taking a look at Manchester United. As reported in our show a few days ago and now confirmed again ✔️
