Adama Traore of Wolverhampton Wanderers has emerged as a bit of a surprise target for Chelsea this summer, with manager Thomas Tuchel apparently keen on the winger joining his ranks, according to The Telegraph‘s Matt Law. But while Traore mostly plays as a part of the attacking line at the Molineux, Tuchel apparently believes his pace makes him a perfect candidate to boost his options for the role of right wing-back.
Having led the team to the Champions League trophy less than six months since taking over from Frank Lampard, Tuchel has informed Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich of his desire to ‘build and empire’ at Stamford Bridge, and to that end he needs top reinforcements. Apart from the 25-year-old Wolves wide man, the former Borussia Dortmund and Paris Saint-Germain boss wants to bring striker Romelu Lukaku back to the club from Inter Milan and sign West Ham midfielder Declan Rice.
He is also keen for defender Antonio Rudiger to sign a new contract, with his current one entering its final year this month.
