Bayern Munich’s Jerome Boateng will get to enjoy an unusual post-match meal after his side’s 4-0 win over Hertha Berlin on Saturday.
Prior to the match, Boateng entered into a wager with his former Hamburg team-mate Anis Ben-Hatira – now plying his trade for Hertha – with the loser’s mother to prepare dinner for the winner.
Boateng, who started his career at Hertha, said he will get to enjoy a Tunisian meal courtesy of Ben-Hatira’s mum.
“It will be a really tasty, enormous buffet,” Boateng told Bayern’s official website.
Should he have lost the fixture, Boateng said his friend had asked for a simple delicacy – good old fish fingers.
“I said to (Ben-Hatira), ‘fish fingers? That’s not exactly hard,'” Boateng said.
“But he always said in the past that fish fingers cooked by my mum were wonderful, much better than any others.”
