Bundesliga outfit FSV Mainz 05 have officially completed the signing of Tunisian forward Sami Allagui from second division outfit Greuther Furth. The 24 year old has signed a three year contract with Mainz, with an option of a one year extension. The transfer fee for Allagui was not revealed, but reports estimate it to be somewhere around the 1 million euro mark.
Dusseldorf born Allagui started his senior career with Anderlecht in Belgium and had a short spell on loan with Roeselare before joining Carl Zeiss Jena in 2007. He transferred to Greuther Fürth a year later.
Allagui becomes the second Greuther Fürth player to leave the club for Mainz this summer after midfielder Marco Caligiuri.
