(GSM) – Besiktas stayed in the Super Lig race on Saturday with a 2-1 win away to fourth-placed Kayserispor. Also, Bursaspor moved second with a 3-0 victory over Sivasspor.

Besiktas entered the day eight points of the pace of league leaders Galatasaray, and Chilean midfielder Rodrigo Tello helped Besiktas into the lead with a goal inside two minutes.

Ekrem Dag extended the lead for the visitors on the half-hour mark as they attempt to make a run in the final third of the Turkish season.

Ariza Makukula pulled a goal back in the 81st minute for Kayserispor, but they suffered the defeat, remaining barely fourth in the table.

Bursaspor, meanwhile, went to within a point of Galatasaray as goals from Pablo Batalla (30), Turgay Bahadir (48) and Ozan Ipek (50) helped run the club’s unbeaten run to six games in their win over Sivasspor.

League leaders Galatasaray are in action Sunday against Kasimpasa while Fenerbahçe are at Istanbul BB.
