Besiktas were held to a goalless draw by Genclerbirligi on Saturday, while Bursaspor surpassed the Istanbul outfit thanks to a narrow win over Ankaragücü.

Genclerbirligi had already drawn their previous two games and the match with defending champions Besiktas ended undecided as well as neither side managed a goal. Besiktas have five points from their first three matches, and may have to allow their rivals to take distance on Sunday.

A goal from Omer Erdogan in the 25th minute, earned Bursaspor a 1-0 win over Ankaragücü. Bursaspor now have six points, which leaves them in third place with Sunday’s games still ahead.

Leaders Fenerbahce get in action on Sunday, with an away match at newly promoted Diyarbakirspor who have earned a surprising amount of four points from their first two Super Lig matches. Galatasaray host Kayserispor in Istanbul.
