(GSM) – Bursaspor are back on top in the Turkish Super Lig after beating Ankaragücü 1-5 on Sunday.

Following Trabzonspor’s 3-1 win over Genclerbirligi a day earlier, Bursaspor needed at least a point to reconquer the lead in Turkey’s top flight.

Ankaragücü had a good start as Stanislav Sestak scored the opener after just seven minutes.

But Ibrahim Ozturk leveled nine minutes later and Turgay Bahadir made it 1-2 in the 27th. Another five minutes later, Ömer Erdogan added a third.

Further goals from Ivan Ergic and Sercan Yildirim handed Bursaspor a 1-5 lead at the end of the first half. This would also be the final result.

The top clash between Fenerbahce and Galatasaray ended without goals, leaving both Istanbul giants at a considerable distance from the top.

Fenerbahce are in third place at six points from leaders Bursaspor, while Galatasaray – with new manager Gheorge Hagi – remain in shared eighth position.
