(GSM) – Fenerbahce failed to take the lead in the Turkish league on Monday, crashing to a 2-3 defeat Bursaspor.

After Galatasaray dropped points a day earlier, Fenerbahce had the perfect opportunity to move back into first place. However, their poor form continued to trouble them in this game.

Initially things went well for the Istanbul side as Alex put them ahead on five minutes and fellow Brazilian Andre Santos doubled the advantage in the 21st.

But Argentinian Pablo Batalla pulled one back five minutes later and although it looked liked Fenerbahce were going to hold on to their lead, Bursaspor saved the best for last.

The 23-year-old midfielder Ozan Ipek levelled the score in the 85th minute and went on to net the winning goal five minutes later, 2-3.

As such, Fenerbahce remain at two points from leaders Galatasaray. Thanks to their win, Bursaspor are now in third place at only four points from the top.
