(GSM) – Fenerbahçe held on to their narrow one-point lead atop the Turkish Super Lig on Saturday as they beat Eskisehirspor, 2-0. Bursaspor remained in second place with a 2-0 victory of their own against Kayserispor.

Alex fired Fenerbahçe in front after 13 minutes as the Istanbul side were completely in control at the Sukru Saracoglu.

Eleven minutes later, Ozer Hurmaci doubled the advantage for the leaders as Eskisehirspor officially had their hopes of European football dashed.

Meanwhile, in Bursa, Bursaspor stayed within a point with just two games to go as they also scored two first-half goals in their win over Kayserispor.

Turgay Bahadir opened the scoring in the 19th minute for the surprise side of the season, and goalkeeper Dimitar Ivankov slotted home from the spot on 37 minutes – his fourth tally of the season.

Galatasaray also held firm in third place as Milan Baros’ 23rd-minute goal was the only scoring in their 1-0 win at Istanbul BB.
