(GSM) – Galatasaray continue to struggle in the Turkish Super Lig. On Sunday, the Istanbul side suffered a 2-0 defeat by Manisaspor.

The match in Turkey’s largest city had been under way for 32 minutes when Ariza Makukula put the visiting side in the lead.

Galatasaray had no reply to that opening goal and instead gave away a penalty in the 75th minute. Manizaspor’s Josh Simpson made no mistake from the spot.

The result leaves Galatasaray in tenth place at 13 points from leaders Trabzonspor.

Besiktas were more successful in an away match at Genclerbirligi, as goals from Guti and Roberto Hilbert provided for a 2-0 win.
