(GSM) – Trabzonspor are the new leaders in the Turkish Super Lig following Sunday’s 2-0 victory over Galatasaray.

After Bursaspor were held to a 2-2 draw at Antalyaspor on Saturday, Trabzonspor knew that a win over Istanbul giants Galatasaray would leave them in first position.

It took until the 76th minute for the deadlock to be broken, as Trabzonspor’s Umut Bulut directed the ball past the opposing goalkeeper.

In the final minute, Bulut added a second to secure the victory and the top spot.

Trabzonspor are now one point ahead of Bursaspor, and two points ahead of third-placed Kayserispor.
