(GSM) – FC Twente are back on top in the Dutch Eredivisie following a narrow 0-1 win at last-placed RKC Waalwijk on Sunday.

After PSV lost to NAC a day earlier, Twente had a perfect opportunity to reconquer the top spot. It was no easy event at RKC Waalwijk however, as only a 69th-minute goal from Danish midfielder Kenneth Perez could make the difference.

Twente are now two points ahead of PSV, with eight rounds left to play.

Ajax cruised to a comfortable 0-3 victory at Sparta Rotterdam, with Siem de Jong scoring the opener on 14 minutes. Gregory van der Wiel doubled the advantage in the 36th and Dennis Rommedahl added a third shortly after the hour.

Fourth-placed Feyenoord earned a 2-4 win at Roda JC with goals from Sekou Cisse (2), Luigi Bruins and Roy Makaay. Jeanvion Yulu-Matondo and Boldizsar Bodor scored for Roda.

The hosts had Ruud Vormer sent off after only 20 minutes, and Feyenoord’s Darley followed near full time.
