(GSM) – FC Twente are another step closer to winning the Dutch championship after a 0-2 win at VVV on Saturday. AZ Alkmaar defended their fifth place beating Utrecht 2-0.

The Eredivisie leaders needed 38 minutes for Blaise N’Kufo to score the opener at VVV, and Bryan Ruiz decided the clash with two minutes left to play, 0-2.

Ajax will now need to beat ADO Den Haag on Sunday in order to remain at four points from the top.

AZ kept pressure on fourth-placed Feyenoord with a 2-0 win over Utrecht. Maarten Martens put the hosts ahead on four minutes and Mounir El Hamdaoui converted a penalty to double the advantage in the 75th.

As such, AZ are now just one point behind Feyenoord but the Rotterdam side do still have Sunday’s game with NAC in hand.
