(GSM) – FC Twente are another step closer to winning the Dutch championship after holding main rivals PSV Eindhoven to a 1-1 draw.

Twente began the match with a five-points advantage over PSV, who needed a win to reduce the gap and make sure that they would not lose their second place to Ajax.

After a goalless first half, PSV did score the opener through Danny Koevermans in the 50th minute. But in the 73rd, it was Twente striker Blaise N’Kufo to net the equaliser.

As such, Twente maintain their advantage while PSV are likely to drop to third after Ajax’ away match to last-placed RKC Waalwijk on Sunday.
