German daily newspaper Bild has suggested that RB Leipzig and Hoffenheim have joined the race to sign Schalke playmaker Max Meyer.
Few months after Leon Goretzka had decided to sign for Bayern Munich on a free transfer, his teammate has also informed the club chiefs he will be leaving on a free in the summer.
The list of top European clubs showing interest in Meyer is quite long and includes sides like AS Roma, AC Milan, Juventus, Tottenham, Liverpool and Arsenal.
According to Bild, RB Leipzig and Hoffenheim are also keen and they hope to persuade the 22-year-old to remain in Germany.
RB Leipzig sees Meyer as a very good option to replace Liverpool-bound Naby Keita and they are prepared to offer him a lucrative long-term contract.
