Udinese coach Francesco Guidolin has admitted his interest in Bologna playmaker Gaston Ramirez.
The Uruguayan midfielder has been linked with Liverpool and Juventus and it is almost certain that he will leave Bologna in the summer.
Bologna president recently explained that the club would not stand in the way of the player’s progress, thus hinting that Felsinei were ready to cash in on their prized asset.
The 21-year-old midfielder could be subject of a real bidding war in the summer as Udinese have also expressed their interest in the player’s services.
The Zebrette are searching for a new attacking midfielder after summer signing Gabriel Torje failed to prove his worth at Friuli.
“He’s a very interesting player, with first level technical skills, but also tough physically”, Guidolin said at a press conference staged before the clash with Bologna.
“He is the classic number 10 to play close to an attacker. He has imagination, creativity, and makes an impact.”
Ramirez has a contract until June 2016 at Renato Dall’Ara, meaning that the interested clubs will have to delve deep into their pockets.
The Uruguayan joined Bologna for a fee of €5.5 million in August 2010, but his price has increased substantially since.
