Udinese close in on Isaac Success

Sky Sport Italia is reporting that Udinese are on the verge of completing a deal for Nigerian forward Isaac Success.

The youngster caught the eye of Zebrette scouts at the Under-17 World Cup in United Arab Emirates, and the Serie A side have moved quickly to beat other interested sides to the player’s signature.

Sky Sport Italia understands that the 17-year-old will sign a four-year deal with Udinese before being loaned out to Granada.

Isaac Success started the Under-17 World Cup in style, scoring two goals in the first two group games, but the injury picked up in the 3-3 draw with Sweden saw him miss the remainder of the tournament.

Nevertheless, he seems to have done enough to earn a lucrative move to Udinese, where he would have a chance to continue his development.

Udinese face Catania on the road later today, with the Zebrette 3/2 to win at Angelo Massimino and make amends for the 3-0 home defeat to Inter Milan.
