Udinese president Giampaolo Pozzo has said that midfielder Gokhan Inler’s move to Naples is in the hands of the Partenopei. In an interview to Radio Kiss Kiss, Pozzo said that Napoli had expressed interest a month and a half ago in the Swiss medio, but had found Udinese’s then asking price to be a bit too much for their liking.
Pozzo also mentioned that Udinese were yet to hear from Napoli regarding Inler’s potential transfer. Inler, who captained Switzerland in the 2010 World Cup in the absence of regular skipper Alexander Frei, is known to prefer a move to Napoli, who finished 6th in Serie A last season. Inler’s agent Dino Lamberti echoed Pozzo’s comments, saying
that Udinese had received offers from several clubs for Inler, but not from Napoli.
