Udinese have informed Fiorentina that striker Antonio Floro Flores is not for sale.
The 28-year-old was heavily linked with a move to Fiorentina, after Alberto Gilardino had joined Genoa.
However, Udinese sporting director Fabrizio Larini says that the player is integral part of Francesco Guidolin’s squad and that he is not on the transfer list.
“Floro Flores is not moving away from Udine,” Fabrizio Larini told SportItalia.
“He is a very important player for us and he will not be going to Fiorentina.
“I’ll say it again, Floro Flores is not on the transfer list. The club have decided to focus on him and we have total faith in his qualities.”
The experienced striker has scored just one goal in ten Serie A games this season, but is, nonetheless, considered an important part of the squad.
