Udinese have completed the signing of defender Antonio Rubén Párraga Ortiz from Spanish second division outfit Granada. The 26 year old becomes the Friulian club’s first Spanish signing of the 2010 summer window.
Parraga is primarily a left sided defender. He started his career with Club Deportivo Alhaurino and also had a short spell with Malaga’s reserve side before transferring to Córdoba Club de Fútbol in 2006. He spent three years at Cordoba before joining Granada last season.
Udinese finished a disappointing 15th in Serie A last season. The signing of Parraga has taken several fans by surprise as the 26 year old had not been linked with the Bianconeri in the past.
