This will be a very chaotic side for everyone in the world of football, due to coronavirus pandemic, but then again, not many clubs will have as tough summer as Udinese will. The Serie A side will have to do a lot of things in a very short period of time if they want to have a successful next season.
First of all, they are still sitting just three points above the relegation zone in the Serie A standings when the league was paused. Once they get back on pitch, they will have to win in their quest of staying in the league, but then in the summer prepare for next season. And that is where the big problems start mounting.
Pierpaolo Marino, the president of Udinese, confirmed this week that Udinese will most probably lose three midfielders, the three starting central midfielders in Luca Gotti’s 3-5-2 formation. Those players are Seko Fofana, Rodrigo De Paul and Rolando Mandragora. All three are wanted and for all three Marino confirmed they will probably leave the club, adding that Udinese will look to strengthen from abroad.
