Despite the positive Uefa Cup first-leg result against Lech Poznan (2-2 away), coach Pasquale Marino urged his team not to have a defensive attitude in this match. “We will not play for the draw,” he said in the pre-match press conference. “Our type of football doesn’t allow us to defend for 90 minutes.”
Asked whether this is the most important match of the season, the coach said: “Every match is important, like the one on Sunday against Lecce. We have to reach important objectives also in the league. I’m not worried about last weekend’s defeat to Torino. We are in a good moment so I am confident, even though it was disappointing.”
