With the European Championship qualifiers getting back underway in midweek, it will be England’s Group C romp that steals most of this month’s headlines.

Watching the Three Lions look to punch their ticket to Germany with another statement, there are also a host of European Championship betting markets that are worth keeping an eye out for.

Ahead of what should be another pulsating fortnight of action from across Group C, we have taken an in-depth look at what could unfold and some of the most intriguing EURO 24 betting tips that are available.

Who is leading the chase in Group C?

While England might have eventually been forced to settle for a World Cup quarter-final finish out in Qatar over the winter, Gareth Southgate’s squad have only continued on a major Group C romp this year.

Unbeaten in each of their six qualifying appearances and only dropping points on a single occasion, the Three Lions are breezing their way to EURO 24 and they have certainly made quite the statement of intent.

Marking their return to Group C duties on October 17th when they welcomed bitter rivals Italy to Wembley, England currently find themselves pencilled in as low as 1/10 with BetUS to claim top spot in Group C.

Really gaining a reputation for their free-scoring qualifying performances, it would take a minor miracle to stop England progressing as group winners.

The Group C Players to Keep and Eye on

With Group C boasting some of European football’s biggest names, we have taken a glance at two attacking superstars that are certainly worth keeping an eye out for.

Harry Kane – England & Bayern Munich

Breezing their way to next year’s European Championships and not really having to get out of third gear, it has once again been the red-hot Harry Kane who has spearheaded England’s Group C charge this year.

Only continuing to break a host of records since completing his £100million move to Bayern Munich this summer, the ex-Tottenham talisman has already notched eight strikes in his opening seven Bundesliga appearances.

Likewise, bagging five Group C goals during this year’s qualifying adventure and with only three European stars boasting a better return, Kane already finds himself tipped as a leading contender to claim another major tournament Golden Boot at EURO 24.

Federico Chiesa – Italy & Juventus

With Italy knowing that they face a must-win showdown when they welcome Malta to Bari on Saturday night, it will be the in-form Federico Chiesa who has another crucial role to play this month.

Really opening the 2023/24 campaign with a flurry and one of Italy’s standout performers over the past two years, Chiesa has already notched four goals in his first seven Serie A appearances this season.

Also finding the net as the reigning European champions claimed an action-packed 3-2 victory away at the Netherlands on Nations League duties back on June 18th, Italy will be calling on the red-hot Chiesa to lead their Group C charge over the next fortnight.

Group C Match of the Week & Available Odds

While both England and Italy might have their own respective showdowns before the meet on October 17th, it will certainly be a repeat of the EURO 20 final that will steal most of this month’s headlines.

With the Three Lions knowing that they can officially punch their ticket to Germany when they return to Wembley next week, Southgate’s side will also be excited by their reverse Group C meeting against Italy back on March 23rd.

Gaining some immediate revenge as they claimed an eye-catching 2-1 win away in Naples, it is also worth highlighting that England have won each of their previous 12 straight European Championship qualifying appearances on home soil – a run that stems all the way back to June 2011.

Looking to pick up some perfect momentum when they welcome Australia to Wembley for a friendly showdown later in the week, England will certainly have one eye fixed on their heavyweight Group C battle on October 17th.

Continuing on a qualifying romp this year and already priced as low as 1/10 with BetUS to claim top spot in Group C, Southgate’s men will be looking to make another heavyweight statement in the capital.

Landing that 2-1 win when they travelled to Naples for their reverse meet back in March, neutrals could be treated to another enjoyable affair from Wembley.

It is also worth noting, six of the previous eight meetings between the EURO 20 finalists have finished with both teams finding the net.
