While the European Championship qualifiers might make their return on Thursday, it appears that the top-two chase in Group F has been all but confirmed.

In what is simply a two-horse race between Austria and European giants Belgium, there remains plenty of EURO 24 betting markets that are worth taking note of.

On a stacked fortnight schedule when both of the Group F leaders can wrap up their ticket to Germany for next year, we have taken a glance at the two leading contenders and some of the most eye-catching European Championship betting tips.

Who is leading the chase in Group F

While Belgium might still find themselves snapping it out in the chase to clinch top spot in Group F, the Red Devils will be looking to make a definitive statement over the next fortnight and book their European Championship spot with a flurry.

Signing off September’s international break with a routine 5-0 romp against Group F whipping boys Estonia on home soil, Domenico Tedesco’s side have mustered 13 points from their five qualifying appearances and they appear to have turned a real corner.

Looking to hold off Austria’s late charge and avoid what would be a disappointing silver medal finish, the one-time Schalke boss finds his superstar squad pencilled in at 7/20 with BetUS to wrap up Group F over the next fortnight.

The Group F Players to Keep an Eye on

With Belgium’s current crop still housing some of Europe’s most notable stars, we have taken a look at two Group F poster boys who will be looking to make another statement over the next fortnight.

Romelu Lukaku – Belgium & Roma

Looking to punch their EURO 24 ticket with another free-scoring flurry in midweek, Belgium will be certainly be calling the resurgent Romelu Lukaku to spearhead their charge over the next fortnight.

While the 30-year-old might have endured a public nightmare after returning back to Stamford Bridge, it appears that Lukaku has found a new lease of life since making the loan switch to Italian heavyweights Roma.

In fact, along with bagging nine strikes in just his previous eight appearances for club and country, Lukaku has continued to shine on qualifying duties.

Notching a staggering eight Group F goals during this year’s qualifying adventure, no player across any of the 10 groups can boast a better return.

Michael Gregoritsch – Austria & Freiburg

Watching attacking talisman Marko Arnautovic sustain an external obturator injury last month, it appears that most of Austria’s goalscoring burden will fall on the shoulders of Michael Gregoritsch over the next fortnight.

With Ralf Rangnick’s side relieved to see the Freiburg striker return from his own respective injury issue and be given the green light to feature in Group E, the 24-year-old has largely impressed when leading the line.

Along with finding the net in a stunning 3-1 victory away at Sweden on September 12th, Gregoritsch has three goals in just his last four European Championship qualifying appearances and the one-time Augsburg star will have another leading role to play.

Group F Match of the Week & Available Odds

With both Austria and Belgium knowing that it would take a minor miracle to stop them from booking their respective European Championship tickets, all of Group F’s attention will undoubtedly fall on Vienna this week.

Two camps who have their sights firmly set on making the trip out to Germany as Group F winners, both sides have continued to gain a reputation for their clinical performances in the final third.

Watching the two runaway Group F rivals play out a lively 1-1 draw when they met for their reverse qualifying showdown in Brussels on June 17th, both Austria and Belgium will know what is on the line this week.

Although Rangnick’s high-flying squad might be smelling the chance to spring a major upset, it is worth noting that the Red Devils have remarkably won each of their last 10 straight qualifying contests on foreign soil – a run that stems back to June 2015.

With both Austria and Belgium only separated at the top of the table by just their goal difference, neutrals could be treated to another action-packed affair from Vienna.

Although the Red Devils might still be priced at 7/20 with Vegas Land to wrap up top spot in Group F this month, a high-flying Austria have already proven that they can be a stern test for any of Europe’s elite.

However, with Belgium bagging 10 strikes in just their last four contests on foreign soil, they too a riding a recent wave of momentum and are seen as a standout contender in midweek.
