In a recent interview, UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin was asked a lot about the situation Manchester City find themselves in. UEFA have banned the English champions from European competitions for two years, and City have since appealed to the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS). Ceferin is very reluctant to predict the decision that will be made, as well as the time of its making.
But asked about the possibility of City winning the Champions League this term and being unable to defend it, he simply said he would be fine with any team winning the elite competition this season.
