(GSM) – Manchester City remain in first place in Europa League Group A following a 3-1 win over Lech Poznan, while Juventus were held to a surprise 1-1 draw at Salzburg.
Emmanuel Adebayor was the key man for Manchester City in the Premiership side’s home match with Polish outfit Lech Poznan.
The tall Togo striker first found the net in the 13th minute, and did so again in the 25th to hand the hosts a comfortable lead. Joel Tshibamba pulled one back five minutes after the hour but Adebayor restored the gap in the 73rd to complete a hat-trick and hand City a 3-1 win.
Juventus traveled to Austria to face Salzburg, and conceded an opening goal from Dusan Svento in the 36th minute.
The Italians did limit the damage however as Milos Krasic equalised three minutes after the break, 1-1.
Manchester City lead the group with seven points, three points more than Lech Poznan. Juventus – who have drawn all three games, are third with three points. Salzburg remain at the bottom with one point.
