(GSM) – PSG were held to a 1-1 draw at Borussia Dortmund in Thursday’s Europa League Group J action, while Sevilla jumped to second place following a 0-1 win at Karpaty.
The top clash between Borussia and group leaders Paris Saint-Germain had its first goal scored in the 50th minute, when Nuri Sahin put the Germans in the lead from the penalty spot.
Just when Borussia’s fans were preparing to celebrate their second victory in this group, PSG restored the balance through Clement Chantome in the 87th minute, 1-1.
Spain’s Sevilla traveled to Ukraine to face Karpaty and a goal from Frederic Kanoute in the 34th minute was enough for the Andalusians to grab the three points.
Karpaty finished the game being a man down after Vyacheslav Checher in the 88th minute.
PSG still top the group with seven points, one point more than Sevilla. Borussia are now third with four points and Karpaty, after three defeats, seem to have little more than a supporting role in this group.
