(GSM) – Zenit St. Petersburg beat Hajduk Split 2-0 to keep their perfect record in Europa League Group G, while Anderlecht got their first points at home against AEK.
After winning their previous two games in this group, Zenit again dominated at home against Croatia’s Hajduk.
The opening goal came from Alexander Bukharov in the 24th minute and Portugal midfielder Danny doubled the advantage eight minutes after the hour, 2-0.
Anderlecht desperately needed a win after losing their first two games, and got exactly that as Greek side AEK were brushed aside 3-0 in Brussels.
Mbark Boussoufa took care of the opening goal in the 31st minute, Romelo Lukaku added a second in the 72nd and Roland Juhasz netted the third three minutes later.
Zenit are practically certain of a spot in the next round as all of their rivals are six points behind. Anderlecht are second on goal difference.
