Umtiti wants to stay at Barcelona

According to a recent report from Marca, Barcelona defender Samuel Umtiti has informed Barcelona that he is not going to be entertaining any offers from other clubs – regardless of what league they come from. The report goes on to suggest that even if Barca are willing to accept a bid for his services, he isn’t going to sign off on the potential deal.

Umtiti struggled with an injury last season, and has been heavily linked with a move away from the Nou Camp ever since. Arsenal have been one of the primary clubs to be linked with a move for him, but up to this point, there’s been no official confirmation one way or the other regarding his future.

Umtiti is still widely considered to be one of the most talented defenders in the game, but the belief is that he needs a bit more training under his belt (to get back to full fitness) before anyone commits to a deal.
