(GSM) – Genk added yet another victory to their impressive season account this Saturday, as the Belgian league leaders beat Zulte-Waregem 3-0.
The first half at Cristal Arena went by without goals, but Genk did break the deadlock through Jelle Vossen in the 66th minute.
Israeli substitute Elianiv Barda added two more goals, finding the target in the 73rd and 75th minutes for a 3-0 final result.
Gent jumped to second place, at least for one day, following a 2-0 win over Sint-Truiden. Stijn De Smet scored in the 45th minute and Elimane Coulibaly did so in the 68th.
Standard Liege got their second win in a row, beating Westerlo 1-2 with goals from Cyriac Gohi-Bi in the 44th and 70th minute. Paulo Henrique scored for the home side.
Defending champions Anderlecht host Mechelen on Sunday, in an attempt to bring the gap with Genk back to four points.
