Two nations who have really started to show signs of a struggle in the final third, Bolivia will meet Peru in Rio de Janeiro on Tuesday night.

Starting with Bolivia, suffering an empathic 3-0 hammering when they opened their Group A campaign against South American giants Brazil over the weekend, La Verde find themselves in the midst of a real struggle. Now watching his side endure a four-match losing run, Head Coach Eduardo Villegas has seen his side record just a single victory since way back in September 2017. A huge part of the Greens’ struggles has come down to their continued issues in the final third. Failing to find the in over 400 minutes of action, Bolivia have also now failed to score in six of their last seven appearances.

As for the visitors, seeing two goals chalked off by VAR and having to settle for a nervy 0-0 draw against Venezuela in their Group A opener over the weekend, Peru also apper to be a side low on confidence. Failing to make it out of the group stages during last summers World Cup finals, Ricardo Gareca’s side have managed to record just a pair of victories since October. A huge part of La Blanquirroja’s issues has come down to their form away from the Estadio Nacional. Peru are without a win in any of their last four matches on the road and have picked up just a single away victory over the past 12 months. Given both teams continued struggles in the final third, we’re backing a very cagey encounter on Tuesday night.
