Under 2.5 goals at Millwall vs West Brom 4/5 for Sunday’s Championship showdown

Competition: Championship

Market: Under 2.5 goals

Odds: 4/5 @ Bet 365

Two sides who are desperately seeking some stability, West Brom will make the trip to play-off outsiders Millwall on Sunday afternoon.

Starting with the hosts, while Millwall may have managed to snatch a 0-0 stalemate away at Sheffield Wednesday last week, the Lions’ shock play-off charge does appear to have lost some momentum. Throwing away a two-goal lead away at Leeds in the most dramatic of fashion last month, the South London outfit have failed to win any of their last three outings and now sit five points adrift of the top-six. While Millwall might be showing some extended issues away from the Den, Head Coach Gary Rowett will be most impressed by his side’s recent displays in the capital. The Blues have won each of their last three Championship matches on home soil, including a shock 1-0 win over Brentford during the festive period.

As for the visitors, while West Brom may have managed to grab what was a much-needed 2-0 win away at leading relegation scrappers Luton last week, it does not cover what has been an extended Championship blip for the Baggies. Somehow still holding onto top spot in England’s second-tier, Slaven Bilić’s men have won just one of their last eight league appearances, a run that stems back to the 14th of December. While fans around the Hawthorns might have their set on ending their Premier League exile this year, it should also be noted that the former West Ham boss also saw his side only pick up a 1-1 draw when they faced in the Midlands earlier in the season.
