Under 2.5 goals at Swansea City vs Wigan Athletic 10/11 for Saturday’s Championship matchup

Competition: Championship

Market: Under 2.5 goals

Odds: 10/11 @ Bet 365

In what could be yet another low-scoring encounter at the Liberty Stadium, Swansea will host relegation scrappers Wigan on Saturday afternoon.

Starting with the hosts, only managing to scrape a 0-0 stalemate against Welsh rivals Cardiff on the road last weekend, Swansea are still drastically seeking some stability in the New Year. Falling back out of the top-six and with just a single victory to their name over the past four weeks, Head Coach Steve Cooper still finds his side struggling with some rather glaring issues in the final third. Drawing another blank last time out, the Whites have recorded just a single Championship strike in over 300 minutes of action.

As for the visitors, putting in another worrying display and hit with a 2-0 defeat at home against Bristol City last weekend, Wigan find themselves in the midst of an extended rut. Losing three of their last four and also crashing out of the FA Cup away at Leicester, the Royals now find themselves sat two points adrift of safety. Much like Saturday’s hosts, Paul Cook’s men have continued to show some real signs of a struggle in the final third. Drawing a blank in back-to-back appearances, they have recorded just two strikes in almost 400 minutes of action.
