Multiple sources are reporting that Manchester United have agreed a deal with Crystal Palace over the signing of Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
This has been one of the longer sagas of the early stage of the transfer window, with United seeing several bids rejected by Palace. The last one was reportedly one of £35 million plus potential £15 million in add-ons, but Palace demanded at least £45 million up front. It seems United have finally agreed to that, and the 21-year-old is set to finally make his move from Selhurst Park to Old Trafford. Add-ons may still bump the deal up to £50 million.
The signing of Wan-Bissaka will be United’s second of the summer, with winger Daniel James already completed the switch from Swansea. Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was reported to be targeting young British players, and both the newcomers fit that description perfectly. The Guardian claim he still has a centre-back, a fullback, a midfielder and a striker on the agenda, while Paul Pogba and Romelu Lukaku both wish to leave.
