Manchester United and Liverpool are battling for Vasco da Gama defender Dede, according to Daily Express.
The 24-year-old is widely regarded as one of the most talented defenders in South America and he has seen a number of European giants lining up for his signature.
Vasco da Gama have somehow managed to ward off interest from the likes of Milan, Juventus, Manchester United and Liverpool, but they are not able to do that anymore.
The Brazilian giants have admitted that they have no choice but to cash in on Dede in the summer transfer window.
Daily Express claims the new developments have alerted Manchester United and Liverpool, who could enter a real bidding war for the Brazil international.
Dede, who is valued at £15 million, has spent most of his career at Vasco da Gama, making 130 league appearances for the club and scoring no less than 13 goals in the process.
