Manchester United and Real Madrid are being linked with moves for AC Milan captain Riccardo Montolivo.
The Italy international has largely impressed since joining the Rossoneri from Fiorentina and his excellent performances did not go unnoticed.
According to talkSPORT, both Manchester United and Real Madrid are keeping close tabs on the 28-year-old footballer.
Montolivo has been used in a number of positions across the midfield at San Siro and it is this versatility that is considered one of his biggest assets.
The experienced midfielder has a contract until June 2016 with the Rossoneri, but it is believed the club would consider any serious offer for his services.
Montolivo has quickly become a leader of the team at San Siro and was even handed the captain’s armband this summer following the departure of Massimo Ambrosini.
He has featured in a total of 37 Serie A matches for the Rossoneri and scored 4 goals.
