Manchester United and Arsenal are ready to move for West Ham United’s Winston Reid after the defender’s talks over a new deal with the hammers stall, according to the Express.
The 26 year old has appeared in all ten of the Hammers’ league games so far this season, and has been in fine form with the East London side currently sitting in fifth place in the division.
Both Manchester United and Arsenal are in the market for a defender and will make strengthening in that department a priority when the transfer window reopens in January.
West Ham are keen to secure the New Zealand captain’s services and are ready to offer him a six year deal with wages of around £75,000 per week though he may well have had his head turned by the interest shown in him.
Sam Allardyce’s men host Aston Villa on Saturday afternoon, and can be backed at 8/11 to take all three points.
