United at Anfield in FA Cup fourth round

Liverpool will host Manchester United in the pick of the fourth round ties in the FA Cup.

The clash at Anfield will be a repeat of last year’s third round clash, in which Ryan Giggs gave United a 1-0 home win.

That match was Kenny Dalglish’s first in charge of Liverpool and was feisty as Steven Gerrard was sent off.

And the repeat is likely to be even more heated, given the recent history between the two sides.

Liverpool’s Luis Suarez, who received an eight-match ban for racially abusing United defender Patrice Evra in the 1-1 draw in October, will miss the match through suspension.

The match is one of three guaranteed all-Premier League matches, with West Bromwich Albion to host Norwich City and Fulham to travel to Everton.

In other ties, League One outfit MK Dons could entertain English Premier League giants Chelsea if they can beat QPR in their replay at Loftus Road.

The winner of Arsenal and Leeds United’s match on Monday will host Aston Villa while the high-flying Tottenham make the short journey to Watford.

A resurgent Sunderland will host local rivals Middlesbrough, while other matches to catch the eye include Newcastle United on the road to either Brighton and Hove Albion or Wrexham and Macclesfield Town’s home match against either Bolton or Swansea City.

All fourth round matches will take place on either January 28 or 29.

The full draw:

Brighton and Hove Albion or Wrexham v Newcastle, Sunderland v Middlesbrough, Dagenham & Redbridge or Millwall v Southampton, Hull City v Crawley Town, MK Dons or QPR v Chelsea, West Bromwich Albion v Norwich City, Blackpool v Sheffield Wednesday, Arsenal or Leeds United v Aston Villa, Stevenage v Notts County, Watford v Tottenham, Liverpool v Manchester United, Derby County v Stoke City, Everton v Fulham, Macclesfield Town or Bolton v Swansea City, Sheffield United v Birmingham City or Wolves, Nottingham Forest or Leicester City v Swindon Town.
