The Daily Express has learned that Manchester United are wrapping up a summer deal for Leicester youngster Jeffrey Schlupp.
Schlupp, 20, was invited for a week-long trial by the Red Devils that was later extended, allowing the footballer to make two appearances for United Under-21 side.
Sir Alex Ferguson and his coaching team have been so impressed with the talented player that they have instructed club officials to immediately open talks over a summer move to Old Trafford.
According to Daily Express, the two sides are on the verge of agreeing a £2.5 million fee, with the final details of the transfer expected to be sorted out by the end of the week.
The Ghana international began his career as a forward, but has mostly been used as a left-back recently.
He made 8 Championship appearances for Leicester this season, starting 4 of those matches, while also featuring in one Capitol One Cup match.
