Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed that Jonny Evans and Anderson will be out of action for the next three weeks due to injury.
Evans and Anderson suffered the injuries during the 4-2 win over Derby County on Tuesday night.
“We sent Anderson for a scan and there’s no break,” said Ferguson. “But there was some ligament damage. We think he’ll be out for three weeks.”
Fergie also confirmed that Portuguese winger Nani will be out for a week, after picking up a knock in the same game.
Ferguson added: “Nani suffered a groin injury and he’ll be out for a week. Jonny Evans will be out for three weeks.”
He continued: “The ones who are out are Rio Ferdinand, Anderson, Nani, Rafael, Patrice Evra, Wayne Rooney, Jonny Evans and Ji-sung Park [hamstring injury].”
