Manchester United expect Paul Pogba to stay at Old Trafford past this summer, according to Sky Sports.
The future of United’s record signing has been up in the air for quite a while now. He reportedly had issues with Jose Mourinho, but the talks didn’t die out following the Portuguese tactician’s dismissal from the dugout and the appointment of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in his place. They rose especially in March this year when the midfielder said it would be a dream for any player to play for Real Madrid, and he added some potent fuel himself a few days ago by saying that perhaps it was time for a new challenge. The statement is widely perceived as an attempt to force his way out.
The 27-year-old France international was supposed to be a big part of Solskjaer’s plans, but United are aware that it may be for the best to let him go after three years at the club.
