United eyeing Martin Caceres
Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport understands that Manchester United are readying summer bid for Juventus defender Martin Caceres.
The Red Devils are in desperate need of defensive reinforcements given that both Nemanja Vidic and Rio Ferdinand are expected to leave in the summer.
Tuttosport has suggested that Manchester United manager David Moyes has made Juventus’ Martin Caceres one of his primary targets.
According to the same source, the Red Devils plan to offer around £7 million for the highly rated footballer.
Martin Caceres has been unable to nail down a regular starting berth in Turin despite impressing every time he was called into action.
The 26-year-old is likely to be tempted by a switch to Old Trafford as he would finally have a chance to play regular first team football.
Inter step up chase for Ben Arfa
Inter Milan are lining up a fresh assault on Newcastle star Hatem Ben Arfa, Daily Express has revealed.
It is no secret the Nerazzurri are searching for attacking reinforcements, with Tottenham’s Erik Lamela reportedly their number one target.
However, with Spurs reluctant to let the Argentine leave in the summer, Inter seem to have turned their attention towards Hatem Ben Arfa.
The Frenchman could be allowed to leave at the end of the season as Alan Pardew looks to make way for new signings, with Inter ready to pounce.
The Nerazzurri have long been hot on the trail of the France international and they believe this is the right time to step up their interest.
Inter Milan have seriously improved their league position with back to back wins over Sassuolo and Fiorentina, and they are 2/5 to continue the trend against Cagliari.
Roma and Valencia vying for Argentine starlet
AS Roma and Valencia are among clubs showing interest in Gimnasia La Plata midfielder Franco Gabriel Mussis, reports A Bola.
The 21-year-old has developed into an important player for the Argentine side over the last couple of years, catching the eye of Europe’s top clubs in the process.
According to A Bola, AS Roma, Valencia and Udinese are keeping close tabs on the footballer having been alerted of the player’s potential.
Franco Mussis has come through the youth ranks at Gimnasia La Plata and he nailed down a regular starting berth at the start of the 2012/2013 season.
He has made a total of 61 league appearances for the club, scoring 2 goals and helping his side return to the elite division.
Franco Mussis has already agreed a five-year deal with FC Copenhagen that will come into effect in the summer, but he, nonetheless, remains on the radar of top European sides.
