Daily Star has learned that Manchester United are keeping close tabs on Slavia Sofia defender Stefan Velkov.
The Red Devils have been alerted of the player’s potential and they continue to monitor his progress on regular basis.
Italian giants Inter Milan and Juventus are also believed to be interested in one of Bulgaria’s hottest prospects.
Stefan Velkov has already established himself as a first team regular at Sofia, having made 17 league appearances for the club this season.
The stopper, who is set to turn 17 tomorrow, is also playing on regular basis for Bulgaria Under-21 side and is predicted a bright future in the game.
Slavia Sofia are desperate to keep hold of their prized asset for as long as possible, but it is perfectly clear they would not be able to resist a big money bid.
Velkov is a cultured centre-back, very strong in the air, and is expected to develop into a world-class defender.
