United keen on Schalke keeper

Manchester United are reported to be interested in signing Schalke goalkeeper Manuel Neuer.

The 23-year-old is regarded as one of the best young goalkeepers in Europe and has been linked with several clubs, including Bayern Munich.

“I have heard Manchester United  would be interested in signing Manuel Neuer, ” Schalke boss Felix Magath told Die Welt.

“But for as long as I don’t receive a concrete approach, I will not make any statement about this.”

Reports says United are prepared to pay a higher fee for Neuer than Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich.
