Manchester United are considering bringing Leandro Damiao to Old Trafford in the January transfer window, the Daily Mail reports.
Damiao has been a target for United’s English Premier League rivals Tottenham recently, but they were not able to bring him to White Hart Lane during the summer window.
Spurs are willing to try and secure his services again in the New Year but will struggle to out-bid United.
The Brazilian has become one of the highest-rated young strikers in the game at the moment after scoring six goals for his national side at the Olympic Games. He ended up taking a silver medal from London 2012 and was one of the players of the tournament.
Internacional are set to do all they can to keep one of their star men at the club but will know that if the Red Devils come knocking, it will be tough to turn them down.
Sir Alex Ferguson of course added to his attacking options with Robin Van Persie joining for £24 million last month and he is likely to partner Wayne Rooney for the majority of the campaign.
However, Ferguson looks as though he is ready to add another forward to help his sides title hopes in the middle of the season.
