United land Depay

Manchester United have won the race to sign PSV Eindhoven’s Memphis Depay, according to the Mail Online.

The 21 year old will move to Old Trafford in the summer, pending a medical, having spent the whole of his short career so far at the Philips Stadion.

Since making his first team debut in 2011, the Netherlands international has racked up one hundred and twenty-two appearances in all competitions, scoring forty-nine goals.

He has also turned out fifteen times for his country, while his two goals for Oranje came at last summer’s World Cup finals in Brazil, when he scored in the wins against Chile and Australia.

United’s fierce rivals Liverpool and Ligue One champions Paris Saint Germain were also keen on securing Depay’s services but Louis van Gaal, who handed the midfielder his Holland debut, has fended of the competition as he looks to strengthen his squad for next season.
